Why Hydration Matters
Water makes up about 60% of your body weight and is essential for every bodily function — from regulating temperature to lubricating joints and transporting nutrients. Even mild dehydration can cause headaches, fatigue, and reduced cognitive performance.
How Much Water Do You Need?
The general advice of "8 glasses a day" is a simplification. Your actual needs depend on your body weight, how much you exercise, the temperature and humidity of your environment, and your overall health. A more accurate approach is to calculate based on weight: approximately 30-35ml per kilogram of body weight.
Signs of Dehydration
