PDF Crop & Resize

PDF Crop & Resize serves two related purposes: trimming unwanted margins from around the content of each page (useful for PDFs with excessive white space, scanner borders, or header/footer content you want to remove), and resizing entire pages to a specific standard paper size (useful when a PDF was created at a non-standard size and you need it to fit A4 for printing, or when you need to convert between US Letter and international A4 formats). The crop operation removes content outside the specified margins. Setting Crop Left to 50 points removes 50 points from the left edge of every affected page — anything in that 50-point strip is hidden in the output. The resize operation changes the page dimensions (the media box) to the selected standard size, which also changes the visible page area — content may be cut off if it extends beyond the new page boundary. You control which pages are affected using the page range selector. The All Pages option applies the operation to every page. The Custom Range option accepts a comma-separated list of page numbers and ranges — for example, 1-3,5,7-10 applies the changes to pages 1 through 3, page 5, and pages 7 through 10. Pages not in the range are left unchanged. Both crop and resize modify the page geometry metadata. They do not re-render or re-encode page content, so text remains selectable and images maintain their original quality. The change only affects the visible area of each page, not the content within that area. The measurement unit for crop margins is PDF points (1 point = 1/72 inch ≈ 0.353 mm). A 72-point margin is approximately 1 inch or 2.54 cm. If you are used to working in millimetres, multiply by approximately 2.835 to convert mm to points (e.g. 10 mm ≈ 28 points).
